why Acadia

Let's get more into the details of why the Acadia makes perfect "family" sense. View the video and detailed vehicle outline below.

The Look Inside & Out

The Acadia’s interior reveals considerable attention to detail. The instruments themselves have a jeweled appearance; secondary controls are intuitively located; seats are firm yet comfortable and were designed for comfort on long drives. Tailored appearance of the upholstery seams and headliner, metal-finish trim accents throughout the vehicle, and large driver’s footrest are all demonstrative of the thought and consideration that went into the planning of the Acadia.

Interior space and well-configured seating are what make the 2009 GMC Acadia especially appealing.  A third-row seat is standard, which yields room for seven to eight people altogether.  The third row is nothing to sneeze at either.  Offering tri-zone climate control, along with rear-seat DVD player, everyone is sure to be relaxed and entertained no matter what row they’re in.  With almost 20 cubic feet of additional storage space behind the third row and more than two-dozen storage areas, there’s always somewhere to put things away in the Acadia. GM’s Smart Slide seat feature moves the second row out of the way to make entering the third row seat easier.

At 201.1 inches long, 78.9 inches wide and 72.8 inches high with roof rails, the Acadia is brawny and athletic looking. A bright grille, large headlamps that use projector beam technology to deliver bright, precise lighting, and lots of chrome give you the look you want.   From the door handles to dual exhaust, the Acadia delivers a strong, hip appearance.

Performance

The 2009 GMC Acadia comes with 275-horsepower and a 3.6 liter V6 engine that supplies excellent acceleration performance.  The six-speed automatic transmission is responsive, smooth and efficient, further aiding in fuel economy.  The Acadia absorbs rough pavement and tight corners with ease, handling better and smoother than most truck-based SUVs.

Offers Ultimate Safety

A trait that the Acadia excels in is safety. The vehicle received a perfect 5-star-rating in both frontal and side crash tests and 4 out of 5 in rollover tests by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Standard safety features include: dual frontal, head curtain side and front side impact air bags; passenger sensing system; anti-lock brake system; StabiliTrak stability control; traction control systems with rollover mitigation technology; child safety LATCH system; On-Star Directions with turn-by-turn navigation; remote keyless entry and a theft deterrent system.

Good for the Environment

With an EPA estimated 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, the GMC Acadia is easy on your paycheck and easy on the environment.   With better gas mileage than ANY competitive 8-passenger SUV, the environment will thank you, and you’ll thank yourself.

Built Local

The GMC Acadia is assembled in Lansing, MI and 77% of the parts in the Acadia are made in the United States or Canada.  Simply put, buying an Acadia means your buying local and supporting Michigan's economy.

Our 2009 Acadias have a starting price of $26,746.  Plus, remember that at Todd Wenzel you are guarenteed the best price.  If a competitor has a better price, we will beat it by $1,000.  It's that simple.
